Dwindling away, In The Mist Of The Gray

It's cold, gray, and icy
The numbness fits so nicely
So stuck and tired of the gray
Can't I just dwindle away?
Dwindle down until I can drift
Float away on the winds lift
An invisible soft light sheen
Just another glint; just another gleam

Decaying in the gray
Blinded by dismay
Clouded by the cold
Feelings soon to mold
But how can I relay?
The loneliness of gray?

The color is gone, feelings not there
Been here so long, I can only stare
The gray is home, the gray is safe
It may get brighter, it may erase
Erase the coming of another storm
Don't want the darkness to begin to form

Decaying in the gray
Blinded by dismay
Clouded by the cold
Making me so old
But how can I relay?
The loneliness of gray?

I am desperate, vindictive
This grayness so addictive
My blanket I hide under, from the something that's asunder
In this cold gray place I forever feel misplaced
Cold droplets dwindle down
I keep feeling I may drown
