Cracked Lighthouse

A lone light, peircing the night
The darkness comes, to blot out the sight
Around, around, the light will go
Giving off its' eerie little glow
Soon it will come; the tidal wave
Blocks out the light that I crave
Drowning in this odyssey
So cold and I can't breathe

There's a crack, in my lighthouse
My sea is so dark
There's a crack, in my lighthouse
Will I ever find my mark?
The hand that broke it, was my own
I did it all; I work alone...

I keep kicking my feet a little more
I keep kicking; god i'm so sore
I hit some coral; my feet are sliced
I can't even feel it; my skin is like ice
Flailing and searching, I can't see shit
My lighthouse, it seems, will never be lit

There's a crack, in my lighthouse
My sea is so dark
There's a crack, in my lighthouse
Will I ever hit my mark?
The hand that broke it, was my own
I did it all; I work alone....

The seaweed surrounds me; we become entwined
I feel its' softness and I don't mind
Lungs are filling with sand and salty liquid
The air around me seems to have misted
Like a cloud in the wind my body is tossed
A speck in the sea, I guess nothing is lost....

There's a crack, in my lighthouse
My sea is so dark
There's a crack, in my lighthouse
Will I ever find my mark?
The hand that broke it was my own
I did it all; I work alone....
