The Metronome Zone
A locked door
A big keyhole
A cold floor
A broken soul
I see something move
I can feel light
I can hear the groove
I shut out sight
Visions play
Pictures fly
Promises sway
Feelings die
An
uneventful dead zone
A constant ticking metronome
One tick and i'm alive
Next tick, I take a dive
Another end: Another close
Another day where nothing grows
Another thing i must let go
Another touch I will not know
Another high, Another low
Another day inside the zone
This
door I cannot open
This place I cannot leave
This coldness can't be broken
An escape I can't perceive
Long ago a lock was bolted
(heard the clamor as it was turned)
Endless feelings never sorted
(another kindness not returned)
An
uneventful dead zone
A constant ticking metronome
One tick and i'm alive
Next tick, I take a dive
Another end: Another close
Another day where nothing grows
Another thing I much let go
Another touch I will not know
Another high, Another low
Another day inside the zone
The
bitterness feasts
How long is this stay?
Another tear streaks
How long in this gray?
Held
in this madness
Hiding from the grandness
Unwanted
Unneeded
Drained and Depleted
