Dreams of a Fallen America - by Erik Smith

Give the perception of having power
use the illusion to use power
and be the powerful one

this is how my world will work
i am who i need to be
i am everywhere
the center of the universe
the only thing real
to myself

it has always been
from the first conscious thought
through the pain of watching alcoholism
abuse divorce the system of justice
community gatherings programs and organizations
me myself and all my weapons
self destructions and filling graves
from down the road closes the final days

i will cause it to collapse
watch it cave inward down and out
and the onlookers will see laughter
my pleasure of the life ever after
the blood on my hands as i scream and shout
and the final look in my eyes as i dive in after it all
this is society's first and final fall
