Midnight Blindside - by Erik Smith

I open my eyes to view the foggy world
Filled with confusion and desperation
Visions of unfinished projects and chores
Feeling like a half of me is missing

Where on earth is my perfect love
She just rested comfortably in my caring arms
Just kissed my cheek and watched TV all night long
Always wanted to keep her happy away from harm
I swore we promised it would never end
And now we're not sure if it can happen again
Wishing so bad we could go back to then

Awake now wondering why this resurfaced
Thinking about my past shared perfect times
Remembering the moments held close to our hearts
Forever present in both of our minds
Always in love I try to keep moving on
Trying to remember the good times now gone
